On the very first day of the match in Sylhet, Pakistani fast bowler Hasan Ali suffered a tragic incident. He suffered a severe head injury and was taken off the field on a stretcher. The incident occurred in the eighth over of the first innings. Bangladesh batsman Tanzid hit a forward shot on the fifth ball of the over. Hasan dived to catch the ball and fell to the ground.
