The miracle of 'war goddess' Tanot Mata was seen again, like in 1965-71, this time also Pakistan's high-tech bombs did not explode

After the announcement of ceasefire between India and Pakistan, the situation in the villages adjoining the border has started becoming normal. The Tanot checkpost has also been removed.

Rajasthan News: Tanot Mata, the guardian of the western border of the country, is called the 'Goddess of War'. The history of this temple (Tanot Mata Temple) located near the India-Pakistan border in Jaisalmer is linked to the Indo-Pak wars of 1965 and 1971, when Pakistan dropped 3000 bombs on the temple, but not a single bomb exploded. A similar miracle has been seen again in 2025.

Not a single bomb exploded

When Pakistan fired hundreds of drones, bombs and missiles on the western border to avenge the success of 'Operation Sindoor', India's air defense system intercepted them in the sky itself and no bombs exploded anywhere. There was no loss of life or property. However, the parts of the bombs and missiles that fell on the ground after being intercepted were destroyed one by one by the army's bomb disposal squad for safety. Local people and devotees believe that this has happened due to the miracle of Tanot Mata.

Temple 20 KM before the border

Tanot Mata Temple is about 120 kms from Jaisalmer city. About 5 kms before this temple is the court of Mata Ghantiyali. She is considered to be the younger sister of Tanot Mata. It is said that the worship of Mata Tanot is accepted only after the darshan of Mata Ghantiyali. This temple is located 20 KMs before the India-Pakistan border. There are 50 to 60 houses built around the temple, in which about 300 people live. But because of Tanot Mata, they are living happily and fearlessly on the border.

Pakistani colonel had offered umbrella

Pandit Ravi Shekhar Upadhyay, the priest of Tanot Mata Mandir, told that Tanot Mata is the incarnation of Hinglaj Mata and she had shown miracles even during the 1965 war. Pakistan's Colonel Shahnawaz Khan had also seen the miracle of Mata and later he took permission from the Indian government to visit the court of Mata. At that time, he had come to visit the court of Mata and had also offered 4 silver umbrellas. All those umbrellas are still kept in the museum.

BSF maintains the temple

BSF DIG Yogendra Singh Rathore bowed his head in the court of Mata and thanked her and said that the security of the country is possible only with the blessings of Tanot Mata. Since its formation, the responsibility of worship and maintenance of this temple has been with the BSF. The fruits of this worship are being seen. Today all the countrymen know what BSF can do and what it has done. Whenever the opportunity has come, BSF has proved itself.
