Due to the stoppage of water from the Baglihar and Salal hydro power projects, the Chenab river near the Pakistan border dried up and water stopped flowing towards Pakistan on Monday morning.

Pakistan, which has increased its military deployment on the border and conducted ballistic missile tests, has realized the power of India's water weapon.

Now there are preparations to reduce the water of Kishanganga project built on Jhelum. Pakistan, which supports terrorism, got its first big shock when the Indus Water Treaty was stopped after the Pahalgam attack. Now by stopping the water of Chenab river, it has been given a message that it will crave for every drop.

Chenab water reached one and a half feet

Due to the closure of dams of Baglihar and Salal hydroelectric projects in Jammu division, Chenab river in Akhnoor had dried up by 5 am in the morning. After the people who went for morning walk saw the dried up Chenab river, the news spread in the entire area that water from Pakistan had been stopped. The water level of the river had gone down from 18 feet to around 1.5 feet by 10 am.

In such a situation, the flow of water to Pakistan was completely stopped. On Monday, Pakistan realized the importance of India's water for about 12 hours. Around 1 pm, the water level of Chenab river started rising. By 6 pm, the water level of Chenab river had reached 18 feet.

Jagdish Kumar of Ambara in Akhnoor, who crossed the dried up river, told Jagran that by stopping the water of Chenab river for a few hours, a strong message has been sent to the enemy. The neighbouring country thought that it was not possible to stop the water.

He said that this is a surgical strike of water against the enemy without going into their territory. Meanwhile, Bablu from the area says that Pakistan, which killed tourists in Pahalgam, will also die without water. All the people of Akhunar are happy that action has been taken to teach a tough lesson to Pakistan, which fired bullets and mortars on us.

Chenab river dried up for the first time

This is the first time in the history of both the countries that the entire water of Chenab river has been stopped during the cleaning of dams. Earlier, even during cleaning, some water gates of the dam were kept open for Pakistan. Now when water was released to remove silt from the dams on Chenab river, there was a flood in Pakistan and when the water was stopped, drought-like conditions arose in Pakistan.

There was an uproar in Pakistan due to the stoppage of water and the power generation in many projects built on Chenab was affected and the irrigation canals also dried up.

At the same time, hundreds of villagers who had gathered to see the dried up Chenab river bed for the first time in their lives were seen in high spirits. They said that revenge for Pahalgam is being taken from Pakistan. Pakistan, which killed tourists in Kashmir, will now die without water.

Jhelum water will also be stopped

Now action is being taken as per our needs without informing the neighbour. An official of the National Hydroelectric Corporation said that due to the action of removing silt from the Baglihar Dam, the water flow towards Pakistan has reduced by 90 percent.

Now after the work of removing silt from the reservoir is complete, it is being filled again. After Chenab, now there is a similar plan for Kishanganga Dam built on Jhelum.

At the same time, another official said that earlier Pakistan was informed before any action on the dam on the Chenab river. Now the Indus Water Treaty has been suspended. In such a situation, we are looking at all possible ways of using the water of our rivers keeping in mind the needs of our citizens.
