In a bizarre and disturbing incident from Seoni, Madhya Pradesh, two men have been jailed after following a Tantrik’s advice to perform black magic rituals aimed at "controlling" their wives. What they ended up doing has stunned officials and locals alike.

The Forest Department uncovered the mutilated body of a tigress in the Pench Tiger Reserve on April 26, 2025. Although the animal's death was determined to be natural, her claws had been severed, teeth removed, and her skin was partially cut off—raising serious suspicions.

Acting swiftly, officials activated informers and launched a probe. They soon identified five suspects: Raj Kumar, Jhaam Singh, Chhabi Lal, Ratnesh Parte, and Manish Uike. All five were arrested.

What followed during interrogation left even the police shocked. Raj Kumar and Jhaam Singh confessed they had approached a Tantrik seeking help to gain control over their wives. The Tantrik allegedly told them that performing a ritual with a tiger’s claws and teeth would grant them this power. The two men then mutilated the dead tigress and returned for her skin when the Tantrik demanded more.

Their actions were spotted, and the group was apprehended. All five individuals are now behind bars, with further legal proceedings underway.

Authorities have condemned the act as not only illegal but rooted in dangerous superstition, and emphasized that harming wildlife—dead or alive—will not be tolerated.
