Four-time champion Chennai Super Kings fast bowler Deepak Chahar has been ruled out of IPL 2022 (IPL) due to injury. He was injured in the third T20I of the home series against West Indies in February this year, after which he was sent to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru for rehab. CSK had hoped that Deepak would leave the first few matches of the IPL and join the team in the middle of the tournament but it did not happen.

CSK had roped in Deepak in the auction for Rs 14 crore. CSK has not yet added any player in place of Chahar. Which are the 3 Indian players whom Chennai Super Kings can include in the squad in place of Deepak Chahar, let's know:-

Ishant Sharma

CSK is a team that believes more in experience. The average age of the players involved in this team is around 30 years. Talking about the experience, fast bowler Ishant Sharma has been involved in the Indian cricket team for almost a decade. However, during this time he has been out of the team many times. Ishant can be a good option for CSK in place of injured Deepak Chahar. He has immense experience in playing IPL and T20 International cricket.

Ishant has recently been a part of the Delhi Capitals. He has taken 72 wickets in 93 IPL matches. Ishant has 8 wickets in 14 T20 Internationals. He has shown his talent in IPL for Kolkata Knight Riders, Deccan Chargers, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rising Pune Super Giants, Delhi Capitals, and Kings XI Punjab.

Dhawal Kulkarni

Thirty-three-year-old fast bowler Dhawal Kulkarni has taken many wickets for Mumbai in domestic cricket. Right-arm fast bowler Dhawal can bowl with the new ball in the same way that Deepak Chahar does. That is, Dhawal also can swing the new ball. The tall pacer has bowled for many franchises in the IPL. In Chahar's absence, captain Ravindra Jadeja and Mahendra Singh Dhoni can give a chance to this Mumbai bowler, who specializes in getting early wickets. Dhawal can bowl with variations in the death overs as well.

Dhawal has been a part of the Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, and Gujarat Lions teams in this T20 league. He has taken 86 wickets in 92 matches of IPL.

Sandeep Warrior

Thirty-one-year-old fast bowler Sandeep Warrier made his T20 International debut against Sri Lanka in the year 2021. Warrior is one of the dangerous bowlers in domestic cricket. He can bowl fast. Sandeep was the highest wicket-taker for Kerala in the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy. In the year 2019, Warrior has also taken a hat-trick in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The right-arm fast bowler was part of the Kolkata Knight Riders team in the last season of IPL. He has taken a total of 2 wickets in 5 matches in IPL.
