Faf du Plessis-led Joburg Super Kings defeated Durban Supergiants by 16 runs in the South African T20 League (SAT20) held on South African soil. Batting first in the match, the team Super Kings lost six wickets in 20 overs and put 190 runs on the scoreboard.

Chasing the target, the team Durban Supergiants could only score 174 runs. Quinton de Kock played a blistering inning for Durban Supergiants.

But despite his quick innings, the team had to face defeat. Donavan Ferreira, who performed brilliantly in the match, was awarded the 'Player of the Match award.

Faf du Plessis's team had a very bad start

After winning the toss in the match, Super Kings captain Faf du Plessis decided to bat first. Batting first, the team Super Kings had got their four wickets for only 27 runs. Captain Faf Du Plessis scored 39 runs for the team in 33 balls. There came a time in the match when the team lost its captain's wicket for 99 runs and it seemed that the team would not be able to score more runs.

But lower-order batsman Donavan Ferreira, batting fast, played an unbeaten inning of 82 runs in 40 balls by hitting eight fours and five sixes. On the other hand, Romario Shepherd hit a blistering 40 off 20 balls. In such a situation, Faf du Plessis's team was able to score a big score in the match.

Quinton de Kock's brilliant innings did not work for the team

Durban Supergiants got off to a good start chasing the target in the match. Starting the innings for the team, wicketkeepers Quinton Dickock and Kyle Mayers made a brilliant partnership of 98 runs for the first wicket. Kyle Mayers contributed 39 runs off 29 balls for his team.

And Quinton de Kock scored 78 off only 52 balls by hitting five fours and five sixes. Apart from these two batsmen, no other batsman on the team could play a big inning, in such a situation, the whole team could score only 174 runs in the match and had to face defeat by 16 runs.
