Indian batsman Prithvi Shaw scored an inning of 379 runs for Mumbai in their Ranji Trophy match against Assam. The right-handed batsman scored 379 runs in 383 balls with the help of 49 fours and four sixes.

Prithvi Shaw has the second-best individual score in Ranji Trophy history. He broke the 32-year-old record of Sanjay Manjrekar (377 runs). Prithvi Shaw failed to score big in the last four matches, but he showed his form by scoring a brilliant century in Guwahati.

Prithvi Shaw played the last match for India in July 2021. Prithvi Shaw has been scoring runs in domestic and franchise cricket for a long time, but still, he is being ignored by the Indian team. However, by playing an inning of 379 runs against Assam, Prithvi Shaw broke many records and he is getting praise from all over the country.

BCCI Secretary Jai Shah has also joined this list. Jay Shah has praised the young batsman through his official Twitter account. Shah tweeted, 'Another entry in the record books. What a brilliant inning by Prithvi Shaw. Congratulations on scoring the second-best individual score in Ranji Trophy. A talent with lots of potentials. Very proud.'

In return, the answer given by Prithvi Shaw has gone viral on social media. Shaw said in his reply, 'Thank you Jai Shah sir. Your encouraging words mean a lot. Will work hard continuously.

Please tell that Shaw has once again presented the claim of selection in the Indian team by playing a record-breaking inning against Assam. India has to play limited-overs series against New Zealand in the coming time and after that, they have to face Australia. It has to be seen whether Prithvi Shaw will get a chance or not.
