Ajinkya Rahane has returned to Test cricket after 16 months. Rahane played a brilliant inning of 89 against Australia in the final of the World Test Championship.
Rahane had a chance to score a century after December 2020, but he missed by 11 runs. Rahane scored 89 runs in 129 balls, during which he hit 11 fours and a six.
Rahane achieved a special achievement during his innings. Rahane completed his five thousand runs in Test cricket. Rahane became the 13th batsman to complete five thousand runs for India in Tests.
