Ingredients for making Semolina Cake

  • Semolina - one cup 
  • Milk – half a cup 
  • Sugar – half a cup 
  • Dry fruits – 3 tablespoons finely chopped 
  • Baking powder – one teaspoon 
  • Baking soda – a pinch 
  • Curd – half cup 
  • Oil - 4 tbsp 
  • Salt - a pinch 
  • Vanilla essence - one teaspoon 

Sooji Cake Recipe

  • To make semolina cake, mix fine semolina, baking powder and baking soda in a vessel or bowl.
  • Now mix oil, curd and sugar in another vessel. Beat it well. It will become a little light. Now mix semolina in it. Add some chopped dry fruits, vanilla essence and salt in it. Mix some milk in it and prepare a batter. Cover the prepared batter and keep it aside for 10 to 15 minutes to rest. Put dry fruits on top of it. 
  • Now apply oil on the cake tin and pour the batter into it. Now heat a pan or deep vessel. Place a stand inside it and after 10 minutes place the cake tin on it and cook it for 40 to 45 minutes. Now check with the help of a toothpick, if it comes out clean then your cake is ready. 
  • Take it out and let it cool. Then take it out gently and place it on a plate.
