Nitish Kumar Reddy will not play in the remaining matches.
Team India leads the five-match ODI series 1-0. The second ODI will be played in Wellington on Saturday, November 7th. Ahead of that match, Team India has undergone a major change. Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of the remaining matches. He also did not play in the first ODI. Meanwhile, there are questions about Mohammed Siraj's inclusion in the playing eleven for the second ODI.
In the first ODI, Team India fielded four fast bowling options: Arshdeep Singh, Gurnur Brar, Aaqib Nabi, and Anshul Kamboj, but Siraj did not play. Siraj was playing for India A in the second unofficial Test and was therefore unable to join the Indian team in Auckland. It is now expected that Siraj will lead Team India's pace attack in Wellington.
Nitish Reddy was out
The team management plans to allow Nitish Kumar Reddy to prepare for the Test series, which begins on November 19th. To achieve this, he has been ruled out of the final four ODI matches. In preparation for the Test series, Nitish will play for India A in the third unofficial Test match, which begins on November 7th.
Will Siraj play?
Mohammed Siraj played his second unofficial Test match for India A, so he missed the first ODI in Auckland. He has joined Team India in Wellington for the second ODI. Except for Aaqib Nabi, all three Indian bowlers performed well in the first match. It will be interesting to see who replaces Siraj in the playing eleven.
Team India leads 1-0
The first match of the series was played in Auckland on November 4th. In that match, Anshul Kamboj conceded just 22 runs in his 10-over spell. Arshdeep, on the other hand, was expensive but took four wickets. New Zealand were bowled out for just 185 runs. Rain also interrupted the match, after which Team India was set a target of 143 runs via the DLS method. India achieved the target with five wickets remaining.
