The Indian cricket team defeated Afghanistan by a massive 127 runs in the third and final T20I on Thursday. Batting first, India scored 221 runs, thanks to blistering innings from Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson. In response, Afghanistan failed to score even 100 runs. However, India had already won the series by winning the first two matches. Shreyas Iyer, who came to receive the trophy, invited Ibrahim Zadran to receive it with him; this gesture won the hearts of the people. Zadran remained with the Indian players during the subsequent celebrations.

Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) President Rohan Jaitley was presenting the trophy to the captain of the champion team. Shreyas Iyer arrived, but before accepting the trophy, he called out to Afghanistan captain Ibrahim Zadran, who was standing nearby. Jaitley seemed to be in a dilemma, then asked Zadran to accept the trophy with him. The two posed for a photo with the trophy.

Zadran was also seen in Team India's celebrations.

Shreyas Iyer then took the trophy and went to the other Team India players, where they were ready to celebrate the victory. Before the group photo, Sanju Samson asked Zadran to join them. Iyer said something to him, and Zadran stood with Team India in the manner of the banner. He posed for a photo with the winning team.
