Sensex rises 633 points amid Iran tensions, Nifty closes above 23700, market outlook tomorrow

Regarding this rise in the market, Vinod Nair, Chief Researcher of brokerage firm Geojit Investments Limited, said that the buying after the recent sharp selling has helped the market to stabilize.

 

Strength in the stock market

Stock Market News: The domestic stock market closed with gains for the fourth consecutive day, driven by strong gains in IT and auto stocks amid tensions over Iran. The 30-share S&P BSE Sensex jumped 633.29 points to close at 76,704.13, while the NSE Nifty 50 rose to 23,777.80. Shares of Eternal registered the biggest gain in the Sensex, rising 3.37 percent.

After this, shares of Infosys rose by 2.84 percent, Tech Mahindra Limited by 2.81 percent, Mahindra & Mahindra by 2.73 percent and HCL Technologies by 2.62 percent.

What do experts say?

Vinod Nair, chief researcher at brokerage firm Geojit Investments Ltd., said that buying after the recent sharp sell-off has helped the market recover. He said that strength in IT, realty, and auto stocks, along with gains in mid-cap and small-cap stocks, are also supporting the market.

On the other hand, some stocks also saw declines. NTPC fell by 1.29 percent, while Hindustan Unilever fell by 1.04 percent, Sun Pharmaceuticals by 0.87 percent, HDFC Bank by 0.34 percent and ITC by 0.30 percent.
