Samsung W27 Launch: Samsung today launched its new premium foldable smartphone, the Samsung W27, in China. The phone's most distinctive feature is its two-tone design, featuring a blue body with a gold mid-frame. Additionally, the phone boasts a large 8-inch foldable screen, a 200-megapixel primary camera, and a 5,000mAh battery. This smartphone is based on the company's flagship book-style foldable Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, although the Samsung W27 has been introduced for the Chinese market. What are the special features of Samsung W27?

This foldable phone features a premium two-tone design. It will be available in Jihu Blue and Jixia Hong color options. The Samsung W27 is a dual-SIM smartphone and runs on One UI 9 based on Android 17.

Snapdragon chipset and up to 1TB of storage

The phone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy octa-core chipset, with two performance cores clocked at up to 4.74GHz and six efficiency cores clocked at up to 3.6GHz. This is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.

The Samsung W27 features an 8-inch QXGA+ 2X Dynamic AMOLED display on the inside, while the outside screen is a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ 2X Dynamic AMOLED. Both displays support a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and 16 million colors.

5,000mAh battery and fast charging

The Samsung W27 packs a 5,000mAh battery. It supports 45W wired and 20W wireless charging. The company hasn't yet revealed the phone's IP rating.

For photography, the phone has three rear cameras. This includes a 200MP primary camera with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The telephoto camera also supports up to 30x digital zoom. For selfies, there are separate 10MP cameras on the inside and outside screens.

How much does Samsung W27 cost?

The Samsung W27 is offered in two storage variants. The base model with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is priced at 18,999 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 2.72 lakh). The top variant with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage is priced at 21,999 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 3.15 lakh). The phone will go on sale in China starting November 13th via Samsung's online store.
