Virat Kohli's Reaction on Rinku Singh's Father's Death: Khanchand Singh, the father of Indian cricket team's star batsman Rinku Singh, passed away on Friday (February 27) morning. This news deeply shocked India. Many prominent figures expressed their condolences. Now, former Indian captain Virat Kohli has also reacted. Sharing a post on social media platform X, Kohli wrote, "I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Rinku's father. My heartfelt prayers and condolences are with you and your family during this difficult time. May God's grace always give you strength. Om Shanti."

 

He was admitted to the hospital on February 21. 

Rinku's father was suffering from stage 4 liver cancer. After his condition worsened, he was admitted to Yatharth Hospital in Greater Noida on February 21st . Rinku arrived in Greater Noida from Chennai around 5 a.m. on Friday. The Indian team played their second Super 8 match against Zimbabwe on Thursday (February 26th). However, Rinku was left out of the playing eleven for that match. 

Rinku will not play the next match

Team India, captained by Suryakumar Yadav, will play their next Super 8 match, the third, against the West Indies on Sunday, March 1. BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia told news agency IANS that Rinku will not be part of Team India's match against the West Indies. It's worth noting that the match against the West Indies will be a virtual quarterfinal for India. The winning team will secure a place in the semifinals.
