Kitchen Cleaning Tips

While cooking in the kitchen, oil splatters, spice stains, and grease accumulate on the slab. Initially, these stains are easily cleaned, but if left uncleaned for a long time, the slab becomes sticky. In such cases, wiping with water alone won't completely remove the grease. However, there's no need to purchase expensive cleaners. A few household items can easily clean the slab.

Dishwashing liquid will work.

To remove grease from your kitchen slab, you can use dishwashing liquid to make it shine. Prepare a solution by mixing a little dishwashing liquid with a bowl of lukewarm water. Dip a soft cloth or sponge in the solution and rub it thoroughly over the slab. Clean areas with heavy oil splatter or grease by gently moving the cloth in circular motions. If stains don't come off easily, apply the solution to the area, leave it for a minute or two, and then clean again. Afterward, wipe the slab thoroughly with a clean, damp cloth to remove any soap residue. Finally, dry the slab with a dry, clean cloth. This will reduce stickiness and leave the slab looking clean.

Remove stubborn stains with baking soda and vinegar.

If old grease stains have settled on the slab, baking soda will help. Mix a little baking soda with water to make a paste. Apply it to the stained area and, after a few minutes, gently wipe it with a soft cloth. Then wipe it with clean water. You can also use vinegar to clean grease. To clean grease, mix equal parts water and white vinegar. Spray this solution on the stained area and, after a few minutes, wipe it with a soft cloth. Finally, wipe the slab with a clean, damp cloth.

Keep the slab dry after cleaning.

Leaving the slab wet after cleaning leaves water marks. Therefore, wipe the slab with a dry, clean cloth after cleaning. Wiping off oil spills immediately after cooking prevents grease from accumulating. This also makes daily cleaning easier.
