Step 1: Visit IRCTC's Website

• Go to the IRCTC website and navigate to the "Trains" section.
• Click on "Cancel Ticket" and select "Counter Ticket" as the option.

Step 2: Enter Ticket Details

• Provide the PNR number, train number, and complete the captcha.
• Tick the confirmation box and click "Submit".

Step 3: Receive OTP on Your Registered Mobile

• You will receive a One-Time Password (OTP) on the mobile number provided during booking.

Step 4: Confirm Cancellation

• Enter the OTP to verify your cancellation request.

Step 5: Review & Proceed

• Your PNR details will be displayed on the screen.
• Carefully review the details and click on "Cancel Ticket" to proceed.
• You will see the refund amount that will be credited to you.

Step 6: Get Refund Confirmation via SMS

• Once the cancellation is complete, an SMS with the PNR number and refund details will be sent to your registered mobile number.

IRCTC Rules for Counter Ticket Cancellation
