After this, Rahul reached the program on foot.
Jagran Correspondent, Darbhanga. Addressing the Shiksha Nyay Samvad program at Ambedkar hostel in Mogalpura of Darbhanga district in Bihar, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi said that Narendra Modi is against the Constitution and democracy.
He said that 90 percent of the population of India is extremely backward, backward, Dalit and minority. Narendra Modi is against them. He has announced to conduct caste census under your pressure.
Rahul said that the administration tried to stop me from coming here, but I did not stop because your power is behind me. Today I am being stopped in the field of education.
Announced caste census out of fear: Rahul
Despite administrative ban, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi reached Ambedkar hostel in Mogalpura, Darbhanga on Thursday. He got angry at the stopping of his vehicle convoy near the barricading at Naka 5 and reached Ambedkar hostel on foot with his supporters.
On reaching here, he said that you should understand this. Bihar Police just tried to stop me. They could not stop me. I know why they could not, because your power is behind me. That is why no power in the world can stop me.
Rahul said that we told Narendra Modi in Parliament - you will have to do caste census. We said that the Constitution will have to be worn on the forehead. Narendra Modi has announced caste census out of fear of your pressure. Out of fear of you, he has worn the Constitution on the forehead, but Modi is against democracy. He is against the Constitution.
He is against caste census and against 90 percent of the poor population of India. He is against the extremely backward, backward, Dalit, tribal and minority. They are with Adani and Ambani. This is their government. It is not your government. I have come here for you.
The administration locked the gate and came here from the back door. Dalits, backward classes, extremely backward, tribals, there is oppression against you 24 hours a day in the country. You are suppressed. You are stopped in the field of education. Papers are leaked against you. This is done to stop and end your career.
We have made three demands- first of all, caste census should be done in the right way, which we did in Telangana. Second thing- it is the law of India that there should be reservation in private colleges and universities. Neither Narendra Modi nor the Bihar government is implementing that law. Therefore, we will put pressure on them and we are not going to stop until it is completed.
The student said- the budget of education is decreasing day by day
Rahul Gandhi called for student dialogue. Pradeep Kumar, a second year student of D.El.Ed., who reached the stage, was asked- tell us about the condition. Pradeep said that people live in very pathetic conditions here. They are mentally tortured. We have a lot of expectations from you. You are the leader of the opposition right now and the next successful Prime Minister of our country.
Rahul Gandhi asked which issue should I raise on behalf of all of you in the Lok Sabha. In response to this, Pradeep said that the education budget is decreasing day by day. The plan to promote Dalit education is not being implemented at the ground level.
The new education policy is anti-Dalit. There is talk of digitizing education. Whereas many people of our society are away from digital, they do not know the D of digital. Policies should be implemented at the ground level. During this, slogans of Jai Bhim and Rahul Bhaiya Zindabad kept being raised.
Rahul released a video on internet media
Rahul Gandhi released a video on internet media while sitting in the car regarding being stopped by the administration. Said- I was trying to go to the hostel of SC ST backward, extremely backward. I was trying to talk to you. The government has put a ban here.
You can see what drama is happening in front of you. There is no democracy in India. The government is not letting me go inside. I am asking only three questions. We want the government to invest money in education. The wall of 50 percent should be broken.
There should be reservation in private institutions. We want these things, but they are not letting us talk to you. They have created a drama. We were going peacefully. They want me not to meet you. But I cannot be stopped.
