Afghanistan, along with China and Pakistan, is trying to keep India away from regional influence. It seems that Afghanistan, while maintaining a fake friendship with India, is trying to gain recognition from China and Pakistan. This situation is posing a threat to regional peace.

On May 1, Afghanistan held a meeting with Pakistan and China in Kabul. Now the three countries are going to meet again in Beijing on May 20. In the meeting held on May 10, China and Pakistan had asked to keep India away from Afghanistan. Afghanistan is pretending to be friends with India, but is openly meeting with China and Pakistan.
Afghanistan is trying to get official recognition of the Taliban regime from China and Pakistan. If it gets recognition from both the countries, it will be a big victory for it in Asia. That is why it is engaged in building relations with these two countries along with India. But the Taliban's country and region being close to them will not be good for peace.
visiting in the rain
Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will visit Beijing on Monday to meet Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang. Afghanistan's interim Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi will also arrive in China on May 20, ARY News reported citing sources.
Diplomatic efforts amid India-Pakistan tensions
This diplomatic effort is being made after the tension increased after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April. After which, in response to Operation Sindoor and the Pakistani attack, the Taliban supported India, but China, as always, is in favor of Pakistan. In this meeting, an attempt may be made to distance Afghanistan from India.
Afghanistan turned out to be the real player
Afghanistan is deepening its relations with China and Pakistan as well as India. The Afghan Taliban government wants its rule to be recognised by the three powerful Asian countries. But Afghanistan will have to choose one country between India and Pakistan.
