Bihar Election: PM Modi said that the people of Bihar are not voting for the opposition because they fear that if they come to power, their government will put a 'katta' on the heads of the people and say, 'Hands up.'

PM Modi targeted Rahul Gandhi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a dig at Rahul Gandhi during an election rally in Sitamarhi, Bihar. Referring to a recent video of Rahul Gandhi jumping into a pond during a meeting with the fishermen community in Begusarai, Modi said that some "big people" are "practicing to drown in elections" by taking a dip in water in Bihar. PM Modi took a dig at opposition leader Rahul Gandhi during a rally in Sitamarhi, Bihar on Saturday.
Modi's taunt on Rahul Gandhi:
PM Modi said that some "big people" are now coming to Bihar to see the fish and take a dip in the water. He said, "Even big people are coming to see the fish here. They are taking a dip in the water... they are practicing to drown in the Bihar elections."
Rahul Gandhi met fishermen.
A few days ago, Rahul Gandhi visited the fishermen's community in Begusarai. After the rally, he went to a nearby pond, reached the middle of the boat, and jumped into it. Former minister Mukesh Sahni also cast a net with him, which impressed Rahul Gandhi. Kanhaiya Kumar and several fishermen also joined him in the waist-deep muddy water.
Attacking the RJD and the Opposition
Along with taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi, PM Modi also targeted the RJD-led opposition in Bihar. He said that if the opposition forms the government, they will scare people by brandishing "kattas" (guns) and "make them raise their hands." Modi said, "I shudder to hear that the RJD is making children say in its rallies that they want to become 'gangdars' (scammers) when they grow up. Bihar does not need a government that is characterized by guns, misrule, cruelty, and corruption."
"We don't want a government with a katta (gun)" - PM Modi.
PM Modi said, "Wherever I go, I hear the same thing - we don't want a katta (gun) government, we want an NDA government. The public no longer wants a system that puts a katta (gun) on their head and says 'hands up'. People don't want 'hands up', they want 'start-ups', which the NDA is promoting. The NDA doesn't promote 'kattas', but school bags, computers, cricket bats, and hockey sticks."
Demanding an NDA government again,
PM Modi claimed that the public's message at his rallies was clear: "We want an NDA government, not a 'Katta' government." He has held more than a dozen rallies since the elections were announced.
Voting for the second phase
The Bihar Assembly elections are scheduled for November 11th. Voting for the first phase, held on November 6th, saw a 64.69% voter turnout. The opposition is viewing this increased voter turnout as a surge of public support against the NDA. Prashant Kishor, founder of the Jan Suraj Party, said the increased voter turnout indicates that people want change.
