Police Complaint Filed Against Tamil Star Thalapathy Vijay Over Alleged Insult to Muslims at Iftar Event

Popular Tamil actor Thalapathy Vijay is facing a police complaint over allegations of insulting the Muslim community during an Iftar gathering in Chennai on Friday. As per a report by News18, the Tamil Nadu Sunnat Jamath has lodged the complaint at the Chennai Police Commissioner’s office.

The complaint alleges that Vijay’s event was disrespectful to Muslims, claiming that the presence of individuals described as "drunkards and rowdies" was inappropriate for a religious occasion centered on fasting and prayer.

Syed Kous, the treasurer of Tamil Nadu Sunnat Jamath, expressed concerns over the event, stating, “The Iftar program organized by Vijay disrespected Muslims. The participation of individuals who had no connection to fasting or Iftar has been perceived as an insult to our community.”

The incident has sparked controversy, with discussions emerging over the nature of the gathering and the allegations made against the actor. Further action by authorities remains to be seen.
