Bhopal Short Encounter Inside Story: The main accused Farhan was killed in a short encounter by the police on Friday night in the case of raping Hindu college girls in Bhopal, blackmailing them by making videos and then pressuring them to convert. He tried to escape from police custody after which the police shot him in his leg. He was immediately admitted to Hamidia Hospital, where his condition is said to be stable. So far 5 FIRs have been registered in this case, and Farhan is the main accused in almost all of them.

According to the information, Ashoka Garden police was taking Farhan to Bilkisganj in Sehore district late at night in search of absconding accused Abrar. Ashoka Garden police took Farhan on remand on Friday itself. Farhan told the police that Abrar is hiding in Bilkisganj. Police was taking Farhan to Bilkisganj with security force from Ashoka Garden police station at 11:30 pm. As soon as they passed Ratibad police station, Farhan stopped the car to urinate in Sarwar village.

For his safety, two policemen including the sub-inspector got down. Meanwhile, the accused Farhan snatched the sub-inspector's pistol and tried to escape. In the scuffle between the two, a bullet was fired from the sub-inspector's pistol which hit Farhan's leg. The accused could not escape, the police caught him.

What is Bhopal Love Jihad case?

Farhan is accused of targeting female students studying in a private college in Bhopal, raping them and then blackmailing them. This case came to light on April 18, when a victim filed a complaint in Baghsewania police station. The police registered a case and started investigating, and in the preliminary investigation it was found that Farhan was running a gang along with his associates, who used to trap Hindu girls in love and physically exploit them. These accused named Farhan and Abrar used to blackmail the girls by making objectionable videos of them and were pressuring them to convert their religion.

The police also revealed that Farhan and his accomplices were planning to sell these videos on porn sites. For this, related links have also been found in his mobile. Apart from this, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to investigate the funding of the gang, which is trying to find out from which sources this gang was getting funds.

How they used to trap Hindu girls

Bhopal Love Jihad was revealed when a victim filed a complaint. After this, another girl lodged a complaint in the police station. Then when the investigation of the case was started, it was found that this is a whole gang, which was preying on Hindu girls. First they used to befriend girls by keeping their Hindu names. Then they used to have physical relations with them by luring them with love and marriage. They used to blackmail the girls by making videos of physical relations. They used to pressure those girls to befriend their friends and not only this, the boys used to ask those girls to have physical relations with their friends.
