If India had not qualified for the final, the final match would have been played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, where the second semi-final will be played between South Africa and New Zealand on Wednesday. Pakistan suffered losses worth crores

According to news agency PTI, the ICC has approved a budget of around Rs 586 crore for the Champions Trophy. A total of 15 matches are to be held in this tournament. Of these, three group matches of India and one semi-final were played in Dubai. Now the final match will also be played in Dubai. So the budget for one match was around Rs 39 crore. In such a situation, Pakistan has already suffered a loss of Rs 156 crore for 4 matches. Now with the final being held in Dubai, Pakistan will have to bear another loss of Rs 39 crore.

How much did Pakistan spend on stadiums

Pakistan had estimated to spend around Rs 5 billion in the reconstruction of its three stadiums to host this global event. It is possible that that much money may have been spent. PCB was expecting that fans would flock to the stadiums for the matches, but the opposite happened. Because Pakistan's team was eliminated before the knockout stage and two matches were washed out due to rain. Pakistan will have to return the money for the tickets of these two matches to the fans.
