Pakistan got another stormy batsman, Sahibzada Farhan created history by scoring 162 runs in 72 balls

Pakistan cricket team has got another dangerous batsman in T20. This young player named Sahibzada Farhan has caught everyone's attention with his stormy batting. Farhan has created history by recording the highest individual score by a Pakistani batsman in T20. Earlier this record was in the name of Kamran Akmal.

Kamran Akmal scored 150 runs in 71 balls for Lahore Whites in the National T20 Cup match against Islamabad at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in 2017. On Friday, March 21, 29-year-old Farhan broke Akmal's eight-year-old record while playing for Peshawar region in the National T20 Cup match against Quetta region at Multan Cricket Stadium.

Opening the batting, Farhan scored a blistering 162 off 72 balls with the help of 14 fours and 11 sixes. Farhan also recorded the joint third-highest individual score in T20 history along with Zimbabwe's Hamilton Masakadza and Afghanistan's Hazratullah Zazai. The overall record is still held by Chris Gayle, who scored an unbeaten 175 for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL 2025.

As far as Farhan is concerned, his innings helped Peshawar post a mammoth 239 for one after batting first. After Peshawar lost the early wicket of Waqar Ahmed, Farhan and Maz Sadaqat took charge and thrashed the Quetta bowlers. Sadaqat retired hurt after scoring 54 off 38 balls. Peshawar then bowled out Quetta for 113 in 19.3 overs to win the match by 126 runs. 27-year-old right-arm offspinner Usman Tariq bowled brilliantly with figures of 4-0-17-4, but Farhan got the Player of the Match award.
