Pahalgam terrorist attack will not be tolerated', UN Chief reprimanded Pakistan; said this about the war

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has expressed concern over the possibility of war between the two countries. He said that the tension between India and Pakistan is at its highest in many years. I greatly respect and am grateful to the governments and people of both countries for their important contribution to UN peacekeeping.

After the Pahalgam terror attack, tension between India and Pakistan has increased a lot. Modi government is continuously making plans to take strict action against Pakistan. Pakistan fears that the Indian army can attack it at any time. Meanwhile, United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres has expressed concern over the possibility of war between the two countries.

 

He said, "The tension between India and Pakistan is at its highest in many years. I greatly respect and am grateful to the governments and people of both countries and their important contribution to UN peacekeeping, so I am saddened to see that relations between the two countries have deteriorated so much."

He further said that I once again strongly condemn that (Pahalgam) attack and express condolences to the families of the victims. Targeting civilians is unacceptable and those responsible for it must be brought to justice through credible and legal means.

He further said that the United Nations stands ready to support any initiative that promotes de-escalation, diplomacy and a renewed commitment to peace.
