No examination will be conducted in any college, university, or other higher education institution in the state of Uttar Pradesh on the 28th and 29th of October 2023. This decision has been taken by the Uttar Pradesh government keeping in mind the UP Preliminary Eligibility Test (UP PET) 2023. The UP PET 2023 exam is scheduled to be held on October 28 and 29 in four shifts and more than 20 lakh people are expected to appear for it.
As per the instructions issued by the UP government, to ensure that all candidates can appear for UP PET, no other exams will be scheduled on these two days. Moreover, schools in 35 districts of UP where the UP PET exam will be conducted have been given holidays during this period.
UP Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2023, conducted by Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC), is an important opportunity for individuals competing for government posts in various government departments of UP. UP PET score/certificate will be valid for one year from the date of issue.
Eligibility for UP PET:
Candidates who have passed the 10th (High School) examination are eligible to appear for UP PET 2023. Regarding the age limit, eligible candidates should not be at least 18 years and not more than 40 years of age as of July 1, 2022. , However, reserved category candidates will get age relaxation as per government norms. UP PET Exam Pattern:
UP Primary Eligibility Test (PET) is conducted offline and consists of objective-type questions. The exam will have approximately 100 questions based on class 10th and 12th syllabus and the duration of the exam will be two hours. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
