Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said the Ashok Gehlot government in Rajasthan has wasted five important years of the state's youth and called on the people to oust the Congress from power.

Addressing a BJP rally here, the Prime Minister said that Congress deserves zero marks for the government it ran in Rajasthan for the last five years. He also accused the Congress government of giving protection to the mafia who leaked recruitment exam question papers and said that when the BJP government is formed, the strictest action will be taken against the mafia.

The "Parivartan Sankalp Mahasabha" marked the culmination of four 'Parivartan Yatras' taken out by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the poll-bound state. Assembly elections are to be held in Rajasthan later this year.

Addressing the rally, Prime Minister Modi said that the Ashok Gehlot government has wasted five important years of the youth of Rajasthan. He said that the people of Rajasthan have sounded the bugle to get rid of the misrule of the Congress government. He also targeted Congress regarding the Women's Reservation Bill.

The Prime Minister said the Congress never intended to empower women, otherwise, it could have passed the Women's Reservation Bill during its rule, adding that the party was now supporting the bill under pressure from women.

The Women's Reservation Bill which provides for reserving one-third of the seats for women in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies was passed by Parliament last week. PM Modi said that Congress and its 'arrogant' allies are staunch opponents of women's reservation. The Prime Minister has often attacked the opposition Indian faction as "ghamandiya" (arrogant).

Earlier, the BJP Mahila Morcha cadre welcomed PM Modi at the venue. PM Modi arrived at the meeting venue in Dadiya village of Vatika on the outskirts of Jaipur in an open vehicle from a nearby helipad, accompanied by BJP women's wing workers who raised slogans in his support.
