Leger tender still remains

Even though Rs 2000 notes are no longer in circulation, they still have the status of legal tender. These notes can be exchanged at the regional offices of the Reserve Bank of India. However, the exchange rules are likely to remain the same. This means you can still exchange Rs 2000 notes in batches of Rs 10,000 at a time. Additionally, an option is available for those who cannot visit RBI offices in person. You can send the note to RBI and deposit the amount in your account.
