Education Minister protests against the NEET paper leak case
NEET Paper Leak Case: The NEET paper leak case has sparked widespread outrage among students and their parents across the country. Meanwhile, on Thursday, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan faced protests during his visit to Ahmedabad. It is reported that his visit was kept highly confidential following the paper leak controversy, but despite this, protests were already anticipated. The National Students Union of India (NSUI) had warned of protests, prompting the administration to be on high alert.

When the minister's convoy arrived, some activists attempted to block it. However, police acted swiftly, detaining the protesters and bringing the situation under control. Meanwhile, Maharashtra police on Wednesday detained two people, including a female beautician, from different parts of the state for their alleged involvement in the NEET exam paper leak case.
After questioning, both the accused – the woman arrested in Pune and the man arrested in Ahilyanagar – were handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation for further investigation, officials said. The action came a day after the arrest of Shubham Khairnar (30) in Nashik district, who is accused of having a role in the paper leak of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to medical courses.
Several arrests in thepaper leak case
According to police, a woman named Manisha Waghmare, a beautician by profession, was detained in the Bibvewadi area of Pune. Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar stated that she was questioned and handed over to the CBI, although her exact role in the case has not been disclosed.
Similarly, 26-year-old Dhananjay Nivrutti Lokhande, a resident of Rahuri in Ahilyanagar district, has been detained and handed over to the CBI, and his role is under investigation. Meanwhile, the National Testing Agency has canceled the NEET-UG exam scheduled for May 3 following allegations of a paper leak.
