Naagzilla: Kartik Aaryan Turns Shape-Shifting Serpent in Epic Fantasy Film, Set to Strike on Nag Panchami 2026

Kartik Aaryan is all set to slither into a never-seen-before avatar with his most ambitious and unconventional film yet — Naagzilla. The actor, known for his charming lover-boy roles and box office hits, will now step into the mystical world of serpents and shape-shifters in what fans are already calling a future blockbuster.

“I’ve Seen Enough Human Stories... Now Watch the Snake’s Tale!”

Kartik made the thrilling announcement on Instagram, dropping a mysterious motion poster of Naagzilla. The poster shows a silhouette of the actor in jeans — but with serpents coiling around his limbs and his body transforming into a gigantic snake. The caption read:
“I’ve seen enough human stories… Now watch the story of snakes. The first episode of Naag Lok, I am coming to spread my hood…”

He also revealed the name of his character — Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand — setting the tone for a mythological-fantasy fusion.

A Mythical Saga to Arrive on a Sacred Date

The film is slated for release on August 14, 2026, strategically chosen to coincide with Nag Panchami, the festival dedicated to snake deities in Indian mythology. Though the shooting hasn’t begun yet, Kartik has already blocked the date, signaling the scale and confidence behind the project.

Powerhouse Collaborations

Naagzilla is being backed by major production houses including Mahavir Jain Films, Dharma Productions, and more. The story is penned by Gautam Mehra, and Mrigdeep Singh Lamba (of Fukrey fame) is attached as a producer.

Fans are thrilled with the announcement — calling it a “sure-shot blockbuster” and praising Kartik for choosing a role that breaks away from his typical image.

Kartik Aaryan’s Upcoming Line-Up

Apart from Naagzilla, Kartik is currently busy with Anurag Basu’s upcoming film alongside Srileela. He’s also set to work in Karan Johar’s intriguingly titled film Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Teri Tu Mera. Plus, Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 is already in the pipeline and completed.

From rom-coms to supernatural thrillers, Kartik is clearly expanding his cinematic universe — and Naagzilla may just be the boldest move of his career yet.
