There are only a few days left in this year, soon we are going to enter the new year. Doctors say, the challenges of heart health have not been reduced yet, so that it can be controlled in the year 2024, we all must keep making continuous efforts to keep the heart healthy.

Not only heart attacks but many heart problems have troubled everyone this whole year. Let's take a look at it and learn from it and know the important ways to keep the heart healthy in the next year.

Cases of death due to heart attack increased
You too must have heard about many cases of heart attacks in the year 2023. A large number of people became its victims. In early January, Congress MP from Jalandhar Santokh Singh died of a heart attack in Punjab during the Congress's ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra in the country.

Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen also suffered a heart attack, after which angioplasty and a stent were placed, about which she told the media in March.

Heart attack cases continued to be reported across the country this year. Gujarat State Education Minister Kuber Dindor said in a report that in the last six months, a total of 1,052 people have died due to heart attacks in the state, out of which 80 percent of the deceased were in the age group of 11-25. According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), there was a surprising increase of 12.5% in heart attack cases in the year 2022, this pace continued in 2023.

Cardiac arrest became the cause of death
Along with heart attacks, other problems related to heart diseases also troubled people a lot, cardiac arrest was also one of them. In August, Pepperfry company co-founder Ambrish Murthy died of cardiac arrest in Leh, when he was 44 years old.

Similarly, the news of the death of 33-year-old Brazilian influencer Larissa Borges due to double cardiac arrest shocked people.

Heart attack and cardiac arrest are not the same
It is noteworthy that both cardiac arrest and heart attack are heart problems. Heart attack is a problem caused by blockage of the coronary arteries. If this condition is left untreated, blood flow to the heart stops and adequate oxygen is not supplied. Cardiac arrest occurs when a person's heart stops pumping blood. In this condition, the patient is not able to breathe normally.

Aneurysm is also a big danger

An aneurysm is also called an aneurysm. This is a problem of expansion of the arteries due to weakness in their wall. This causes breaks in the arteries which can lead to fatal complications. Doctors are alert about the increasing risks of aneurysms.

Studies conducted to find out the age-dependent risk of heart disease problems have found that the risk of serious heart disease and problems like heart attack has increased significantly in people of the GEN-Z group.

The problem of obesity or high BMI in childhood and adolescence is increasing heart disease. Apart from this, the problem of blood pressure has also increased among youth and adults, which is considered a reason for heart disease.
