Be it lazy sleep in the morning or tiredness in the evening... a cup of tea is enough to improve your mood. But in this craving for tea, many times people ignore their health. If you are also a lover of tea, then keep in mind that to enhance the taste of tea, never add such things that can make it harmful to health. In this article, we are talking about some such things which should not be mixed in tea even by mistake.

Let us tell you that we have talked to Lucknow's General Physician Dr. Brijendra Singh about this and are sharing the information received from him with you here. DrBrijendra Singh explains that in most Indian kitchens, tea is made by boiling tea leaves with milk and sugar, which in itself is a wrong method. Now, to follow social media trends, people are doing more experiments with tea, which is very harmful to health.

Use of butter

Recently, the trend of 'butter tea' has been seen a lot on social media. Many such videos went viral on the internet in which butter was shown in tea to enhance its taste. Not only this, the benefits of this tea were also enumerated. But in reality 'butter tea' is not beneficial for health, it can be harmful.

Let us tell you that consumption of this type of tea can increase the level of bad cholesterol in the body, which increases the risk of heart-related diseases. At the same time, if butter is added to boiling tea and then it is boiled along with the tea, then there can be a risk of food poisoning.

Use of artificial sweetener

Diabetes patients use artificial sweeteners in tea, so that sweetness remains in their tea and their sugar also remains under control. People have to understand that these artificial sweeteners used as an alternative to natural sugar can also be harmful to health.

It is worth noting that artificial sweeteners are made by mixing some natural compounds and some chemicals. In such a situation, if such synthetic sugar is used for a long time, then the possibility of stomach-related problems and other serious diseases increases. Therefore, it would be better for sugar patients not to fall prey to artificial sweeteners and avoid their use.

Use of essential oil

Social media is also full of videos on the use of essential oils in tea, in which essential oils are shown to be used to change the aroma and taste of tea. In such videos, the use of essential oils like peppermint or lavender in tea is said to be better for taste as well as health. Whereas in reality taking any kind of artificial essential oil internally can be harmful.

Even if the oil is edible, drinking it after boiling it in tea may reduce its benefits. This is because such oils are highly concentrated and are not absorbed quickly in beverages like tea. Such oils are soluble in fat only. Therefore, it would be better to mix them with other fat-rich foods instead of tea.

Use of flavored syrup

Even if you use flavoured syrup in tea to give it a different flavour, you still need to be cautious. This is because many types of chemicals as well as artificial sugar are used in such flavored syrups, which are directly harmful to health. Therefore, it would be better not to use any kind of artificially flavoured syrup to enhance the taste of tea.
