World Food Safety Day 2023: Every year the 7th of June is celebrated as World Food Safety Day. Whose purpose is to make people understand the importance of food safety. The role of food is most important in keeping the body healthy. But considering the food habits and needs of the people, now the way of making and growing many things has changed. Different types of chemicals are being mixed in them. So World Food Day is celebrated every year on 7th June to make people aware of the harm of contaminated food and water.

History of World Food Safety Day 2023
In December 2017, the World Health Organization (WHO) expressed its support for the proposal for World Fertilizer Safety Day adopted at the 40th session of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) conference in July 2017. After this, this proposal was placed before the second committee of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly, which was adopted by the General Assembly (UNGA), and on 20 December 2018, it was announced to celebrate World Food Safety Day on 7 June every year.

There is a risk of many health-related diseases due to unsafe food. In such a situation, the purpose of celebrating World Food Safety Day is to provide nutritious and balanced food to every person. Along with this, we have to stop the dangers of food, detect adulterated things and make people aware of their health by telling them about them.

Typhoid is a disease caused by contaminated water and food. Due to this hundreds of people are affected every year. Along with adults, children are also victims of problems caused by bad food in a significant number and sometimes they even lose their lives.

The theme of World Food Security 2023
The World Health Organization decides a theme every year to celebrate this special day. This year i.e. in 2023, its theme is 'Food standards save lives'. Through this theme, people have to understand the importance of standards set for food. Last year i.e. in the year 2022, its theme was 'Safe Food Better Health'.
