World Food Day is celebrated on 16 October. The purpose of celebrating this day is to spread awareness against starvation and lack of nutrition around the world. The Flowers and Agriculture Organization (FAO) was established on 16 October 1945. It was decided to celebrate World Food Day on the occasion of FOA's foundation day.
