How does ash clean utensils?
The product that remains after burning wood is called ash. In the olden days, because the stoves were burnt with the help of wood, a lot of ash was produced and it was used in other things.
Ash acts as an abrasive cleaner and is known to clean metals, glass etc. very well. It helps to efficiently clean stubborn oil and grease stains, removes odour and leaves your utensils shining. You can get the ash by burning some wood and keeping it in a box for further use.
