What kind of men are women attracted to? Which men do they choose for marriage and which men do they like to go on dates with? These are some questions that are always discussed. Sometimes playfully and sometimes seriously, it is often a matter of male thinking and perhaps that is why it has become a subject of research. Some of these questions have been decoded in recent research on dating. This research shows that women prefer physically stronger men when it comes to short-term relationships. When it comes to marriage and long-term relationships, women generally prefer responsible and mature men.
These things came to light in the study.
The findings of a study published in Personal Relationships show that the success of a long-term relationship is possible only when the partner has a good sense of humor. "Our data suggest that women choose between strong men and happy men based on their own preferences," said Mitch Brown, a psychology professor at the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas in the US. Simply put, she chooses her partner keeping certain things in mind. Women like responsible men for short-term relationships.
This research was conducted to understand what factors influence social perceptions and interpersonal preferences. Interesting research data shows how people have different preferences for short-term and long-term partners. Women value qualities and behaviors differently.
For the study, heterosexual and bisexual women were recruited at a large university. In this, questions and answers were asked to 394 women. Most of the women were around 19 years of age. Regarding reproduction, women also expressed their views on the need for a partner who is physically strong and mentally capable. Ideally, women want to choose a partner who is physically attractive and has positive behavioral traits. However, priorities sometimes change due to difficulties in finding such a partner.
