In this season, you must have eaten delicious and sweet chikki made of peanuts and jaggery. Chikki not only tastes amazing, but it is also beneficial for health. This is a good snack to keep the body warm in winter. It is made from jaggery and peanuts. However, many types of chikkis are available in the markets during this season. Like sesame chikki, puffed rice, desi chikki, dal chikki etc. In India, Chikki is especially included in the festivals held during winter. Chikki is eaten on the occasion of Lohri, Pongal, and Makar Sankranti. Although you can buy chikki from any local store, it is also easy to make peanut jaggery chikki at home. Ingredients to make Peanut Chikki
250 grams peanuts, 200 grams jaggery, butter.

Peanut Chikki Recipe
Step 1- Heat a pan on flame and fry the peanuts thoroughly on it.
Step 2- When the peanuts are roasted, crush them coarsely.
Step 3- Now add jaggery to half a cup of water and cook on flame till it thickens.
Step 4- Boil the jaggery syrup until it becomes completely thick.
Step 5- When the jaggery syrup is well prepared, add peanuts to it and mix.
Step 6- Meanwhile, grease each tray with ghee. Then spread the prepared mixture of jaggery and peanuts on the tray.
Step 7- Spread a light thick layer of this mixture and set it evenly in all respects.
Step 8- Then leave it to cool. When they cool completely, cut the pieces into barfi size or any other shape.
Step 9- Peanut Jaggery Chikki is ready. Store in an airtight container.
