Winter Snack: Lohri may be over, but it is still the season to eat jaggery makhana. One of the most loved dishes during winter, Gur Makhana is loved and loved by all. Learn the easy method of making it.

Ingredients;

  • Ghee - 1 tbsp
  • Makhana - 4 cups (100 grams)
  • Jaggery - ½ cup (125 grams)
  • Baking soda - ½ tsp
  • Sesame seeds - ¼ cup (35 grams)
  • Fennel seeds - 2 teaspoons

Method :

Put ghee in a pan and fry the butter in it on medium flame and keep it aside.

Then add ghee and jaggery to it and mix it and caramelize it.

Add baking soda to the caramelized jaggery and ghee mixture and mix well.

Now add roasted nuts, sesame, black pepper, ginger powder, black salt, fennel, and a pinch of salt to this mixture and mix everything.

Transfer it to a tray and let it cool down. Separate the makhanas that have stuck together and serve.
