When the problem is from within, then expensive skin care products, parlour sessions and home remedies do not work for your skin. Like other parts of the body, the skin also needs nutrition. A balanced diet makes the skin healthy and shiny. Due to this, untimely wrinkles are also not visible on the skin.

Nutritionist Simran Chopra is telling us about the remedies that make the face glowing and young. She says, "Eating more junk, frozen or processed food leads to acne problems, loss of skin glow and premature ageing." But a diet rich in vitamins and minerals can do wonders for health as well as skin.

Protein

Of all the nutrients available in the market, protein is the one from which our body cells are made. The biggest effect of protein deficiency in the body is on the skin. This makes the skin appear dry, dull and damaged.

If you take an adequate amount of protein, it is good for hair and skin. Protein helps in making collagen, elastin and keratin. Hair, as well as nails, is made of keratin, which is a form of protein called scleroprotein. That's why it is necessary to take a sufficient amount of protein in the diet.

Omega 3

Healthy fats such as omega-3 fatty acids are beneficial for the skin. It hydrates the skin and regulates the metabolism of the skin. In addition, omega-3 is known to be essential for skin function.

You get ALA from vegetarian sources of omegas, which make it harder for the body to convert to DHA and EPA. However, your body needs all three, so DHA can be obtained through supplements.

Fruits and vegetables

Wrinkles start due to the lack of nutrients in the body. Therefore, include vegetables and fruits in your diet. They have anti-oxidant, anti-ageing and anti-inflammatory properties, which reduce fine lines, wrinkles and inflammation. In addition, vegetables and fruits contain vitamin C, vitamin K, fibre, folate, calcium, magnesium, and hydrating properties. With their help, skin and hair can be kept healthy.

Vitamins and Minerals

Vitamin A, also known as retinol, is used in a variety of anti-ageing supplements and serums. Tretinoin derived from Vitamin-A helps in increasing collagen production and reducing wrinkles. Vitamin D is a powerful anti-ageing vitamin. It prevents premature ageing by protecting the skin from UV rays.

As age increases, the body needs more Vitamin E to stay healthy. It is an antioxidant that protects the skin from wrinkles and fine lines by protecting against free radicals. Curcumin helps to look younger for longer. It also helps in maintaining the glow of the skin. Selenium plays an important role in fighting ageing.

Liquid and enough sleep

Water is not only important for health but also for beauty. Due to this, the body remains hydrated and a natural glow remains on the face. Therefore, to get healthy skin, include a sufficient amount of liquid in the form of water, coconut water, and fresh fruit juices in the daily skincare diet.

Adequate sleep is essential for skin cells. Therefore, to reduce stress and boost immunity, take at least 8 hours of sleep daily.
