In Mahabharata, the Pandavas were on their way to heaven in their physical form, you must have heard about its story. According to that story, Draupadi, Bhima, Arjuna, Nakul and Sahadev died on the way to heaven, only Yudhishthira alone managed to reach heaven in his physical form. But he also had to see hell for some time. This information was given in Mahabharata and we are going to tell you about that.
When Yudhishthira reached heaven
When the Pandavas left to go to heaven, Draupadi, Bhima, Arjuna, Nakul and Sahadev died on the way. Yudhishthira alone was able to reach heaven in his physical form. Here he saw that Duryodhana was sitting on the throne. Yudhishthira told the gods sitting there that 'I also want to go to the same world where my brothers have gone. I don't want heaven.' Then the gods asked him to go with an angel.
When Yudhishthira saw the view of hell
The angel took Yudhishthira to a dark place where there were many dead bodies. Crows and vultures with iron beaks were hovering around. The name of this place was Naraka. A very strong stench was coming from there and the sounds of people screaming could also be heard. When Yudhishthira asked them 'Who are you?' They introduced themselves as Karna, Bhima, Arjun, Nakula, Sahadeva and Draupadi. When Yudhishthira came to know that his brother was in hell, he decided to stay there.
For this reason Yudhishthira had to see hell
The angel went and told this to Devraj Indra. Then Indra reached there with the gods. While giving information to Yudhishthira, he said that 'You had deceived Dronacharya by telling him that Ashwatthama had died. This is the reason why you had to see hell for a short time. Now you come with me to heaven. Your brothers have already reached there.'
When Yudhishthira left the human body
On the advice of Devraj Indra, Yudhishthira took a bath in the divine river Ganga. Due to this, his human body was destroyed and he got a divine body. After going to heaven, Yudhishthira saw that his four brothers, Karna, Bhishma, Dhritarashtra, Draupadi were already sitting there. Yudhishthira saw Lord Krishna there. Arjun was serving him. Yudhishthira was very happy to see his brothers and relatives.
