What is in the viral message?
If we talk about messages going viral on social media, a newspaper cutting is going viral on Facebook WhatsApp, and other places, and people are also sending it to each other.
In this cutting which is going viral, it is said, 'This time, a fine of Rs 350 can be deducted from the bank account of those who will not vote in the Lok Sabha elections. Not only this, money will be deducted from the mobile recharge of those who do not have money in their bank account. Those who did not vote will be identified through an Aadhaar card. It has also been told in the viral post that the Election Commission has already taken approval from the court regarding this.
What is the truth?
It is natural for people to be disturbed by this viral message, but the truth of this claim has been brought to light by the Indian Government's agency Press Bureau of Information i.e. PIB. The fact of this viral post has been checked by PIB.
PIB Fact Check has posted on its official Twitter account that this news is fake, no such decision has been taken by the Election Commission of India and you must be a responsible citizen and vote. In such a situation, do not believe any such post and vote.
