There were many such characters in Mahabharata about whom you would not know. Today we are going to tell you about Bhagdatta who was the son of Narakasur. He was also a friend of Indra. Bhagdatta was a fan of Arjuna but he did not like Krishna.

When Yudhishthira was performing Rajsuya Yajna, Bhagdatta fought with Arjuna alone for many days but still Arjuna could not defeat him. For your information, let us tell you that Karna had defeated Bhagdatta in the war, that is why he fought the Mahabharata war on behalf of the Kauravas.

On the 12th day of the Kurukshetra war, Bhagdatta's elephant was about to crush Arjuna but then Shri Krishna saved Arjuna's life. Then Bhagdatta fired the infallible Vaishnava weapon on Arjuna, even then Shri Krishna took its blow on himself while saving Arjuna.

Then Arjuna killed Bhagdatta's elephant with Narach weapon. But they were unable to kill Bhagdatta. Then Lord Krishna told Arjuna, 'Bhagdatta' is old. His eyes are not able to open due to wrinkles. He has tied a bandage on his forehead to keep his eyes open. On Krishna's advice, Arjuna shot an arrow on his forehead which killed Bhagdatta.
