Milk is a complete food. This helps in growth. Whether it is to remove weakness or to strengthen the bones, milk can do wonders for all these problems. Drinking milk provides relief from problems like constipation, stress, and insomnia. But despite having so many benefits, milk does not prove beneficial for everyone. There are some health conditions in which the problem may worsen if milk is consumed. Let us know which people should not drink milk.
Milk can cause harm instead of benefit to these people
- If you are allergic to milk then you should avoid consuming it. Some people have lactose intolerance. When such people drink milk, they start having digestive problems. Sometimes problems like diarrhoea, gas, bloating and swelling occur. Let us tell you that many people lack proper digestive enzymes known as lactase. They have problems.
- Full-fat milk contains saturated fats that can contribute to cholesterol, increasing the risk of heart disease and stroke. If you already have the problem of high cholesterol then you should avoid full-fat milk. Or consume milk only on the advice of your doctor.
- If you are worried about increasing weight then you should avoid consuming milk. It contains calories and fat, drinking which can increase the amount of extra calories, which can lead to weight gain.
- One should avoid drinking milk even if there is loose motion. Dairy products contain lactose which can worsen this problem.
- Even if you have fatty liver or liver swelling, you should not drink milk. In this situation, the liver is not able to digest milk properly and this can further increase the problem of swelling in the liver.
- Milk should be consumed even if there is a hormonal imbalance. Drinking milk increases the level of androgen and insulin in the body. Women suffering from PCOS should avoid it.
