WhatsApp is working on a feature that will prevent users from taking screenshots of profile photos on iOS. If an attempt is made to take a screenshot, a message will appear stating that taking screenshots of profile photos is prohibited to maintain everyone's privacy on the app. This feature will provide an additional level of security by preventing users from taking and sharing profile photos without their consent.
However, people will be able to take a picture of the profile photo with other devices or cameras. It is expected that blocking the screenshot feature within the app will reduce the unauthorized sharing of profile photos. The report says that the feature to block screenshots of profile photos is being developed and will be available in a future update of the app.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp is testing a new feature that will provide users with a dedicated filter to quickly get a list of their favorites from the chat tab on Android. With this new chat filter, users will be able to easily access specific chats with favorite contacts and groups.
