Do this work for all chats and groups
Unnecessary media files coming on WhatsApp can be prevented from being downloaded automatically. In this way, the phone's storage will be saved from filling up quickly. If you want to stop the automatic downloading of media files for all chats and groups on WhatsApp, then you can turn off this feature.
First of all open WhatsApp on your device.
After this, click on the three dots given on the top right.
Then after coming down, click on the option of setting.
After this, tap on the option of chats.
Then turn off the tongle with the option of media visibility. After doing this setting, no media file will be downloaded automatically and will go to the phone gallery.
Do this setting for a specific person or group
If you want to stop the media files of a specific person or group from being downloaded automatically on WhatsApp, then you can customize the setting for this.
First of all, open that chat or group in WhatsApp in which you want to stop the media files from downloading automatically.
After this, click on the three dots given on the top right.
Then click on the option of View Contact or Group Info.
After this, click on Media Visibility and select the option of No, then click on OK.
After doing this setting, the media files coming through a specific person or group can be stopped from downloading automatically. Also, this will prevent the phone storage from getting filled.
