If you use WhatsApp for messaging and video calls, then there is good news for you. The new feature has been released on the Meta-owned instant messaging platform, which allows users to share the screen of the phone during a video call. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg himself has announced this.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg informed about the release of the new feature in a Facebook post. "We're rolling out screen sharing during video calls on WhatsApp," Zuckerberg wrote in his post. Mark has also shared a screenshot with the post, in which he is seen on a video call.
This is how the screen-sharing feature works
To share the screen during a video call on WhatsApp, first open the WhatsApp app.
Now start video calling with your contacts.
In a video call, you'll see a screen-sharing icon at the bottom of the screen.
Now confirm that you want to share the screen. Screen sharing will start.
Explain that you can stop screen sharing anytime during a video call by tapping on Stop Sharing.
New features of WhatsApp
WhatsApp has rolled out another new privacy feature called Phone Number Privacy for Android and iOS users, which lets you hide your phone number from group members. This feature has been introduced considering the privacy of the WhatsApp community and group members.
For your information, let us tell you that currently, the list of community members in the Community Announcement group is already hidden, but if a user interacts with the message through Reaction, then his phone number is exposed. Under the new privacy feature, it will be ensured that your phone number remains hidden even after reacting to a message. This means that other community users will not be able to see your phone number.
