New Delhi. WhatsApp keeps bringing new features to the app for its users from time to time. In this sequence, new features are being tested by the instant messaging platform. WhatsApp beta tracking platform WABetaInfo has spotted a 'Suggested Contacts' feature on WhatsApp beta update version 2.24.9.5 on Google Play Store. In the latest beta update, users will now see a new section which will suggest 'forgotten contacts' to the users with whom they can chat.

According to the publication, a new section will appear at the bottom of the main chat list. This section will showcase contacts in users' phonebooks with whom they have never interacted on the platform. The new feature will prove helpful for those who save a lot of phone numbers but do not get a chance to interact with new contacts.

This section encourages users to chat with new contacts with whom they may have never interacted. According to the publication, this feature will also appear for new users to generate new conversions. As mentioned above, this feature is currently available only in WhatsApp beta for Android users. However, it can be expected that in future updates it will be gradually released for iOS and general users.

Let us tell you that WhatsApp has also recently introduced PiP mode for videos shared directly on the platforms. Besides, the company is also preparing to extend the chat lock feature for linked devices.
