In winter, you can reduce your weight even by being a little lazy. All you have to do is use a little smartness. Winter can work wonders on your body without any effort on your part if you know which tips to follow.

1. Herbal hot water

Drink warm water boiled with dry ginger throughout the day. Drink this warm and soothing water during cold weather (winter and rain).

Method to prepare and use

  • Take 1 litre of water, and add only half a teaspoon of dry ginger to it.
  • Boil it till it reduces to 750 ml (250 ml should be boiled).
  • Then drink it sip by sip throughout the day on cold days.
  • In Ayurveda, dry ginger is known as Shunthi.
  • It is lighter (easier) to digest than fresh ginger.
  • It is bowel binding in nature, unlike fresh ginger.

It is an excellent stimulant and expectorant to reduce Kapha and increase Agni. That's why dry ginger can be used as a spice or medicine in every season.

Important

This water is hot, so people who have excessive pitta (bleeding/heat) disorders can add 1 coarsely crushed cardamom to it. Also, those to whom ginger does not suit should skip dry ginger and use 5 basil leaves instead.

  • Regulates periods.
  • Useful in treating frozen shoulder.
  • There is a stretch in the spinal cord and abdominal muscles.

Walking - 40-50 minutes (in the morning and at night)

  • Manages a variety of conditions including heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, cancer and type 2 diabetes.

1. Follow a circadian intermittent fasting

This is similar to intermittent fasting but occurs in sync with the circadian rhythm.

Intermittent Fasting: You can eat for 8-10 hours and have periods of fasting for 14-16 hours (depending on what works for you).

Circadian Fast: You have your breakfast after sunrise and your dinner before sunset.

Circadian Intermittent Fasting: You can eat only when the sun is up. Like you can keep your eating window anytime from 9-10-11 am to 5-6-7 pm.
