The correct way to practice Vrikshasana
Step 1- Stand straight to practice Vrikshasana.
Step 2- Now bend the right knee and place the right foot on the left thigh.
Step 3- Balance the body by keeping the left leg straight.
Step 4- Raise the hands above the head and bring the palms together in a Namaste posture.
Step 5- Stay in this position for some time and then return to a normal position while exhaling.
Precautions during practice
By the way, the practice of Vrikshasana is safe in every way and everyone can do it. But if you have high blood pressure, then practice it only after consulting a doctor or in front of an expert.
People with high blood pressure should keep their hands near their chest and come in a namaste posture while practicing Vrikshasana, do not raise your hands above your head.
If you have vertigo or migraine, then avoid practicing this asana.
The right time to practice
Vrikshasana should be practiced in the morning only. However, if you are doing Vrikshasana in the evening due to lack of time, then do the asana at least 4 to 6 hours before meals.
Keep in mind that you have defecated before the asana and your stomach should be empty.
Which asanas to do before and after Vrikshasana
Trikonasana, Virabhadrasana 2, and Baddha Konasana should be done before practicing Vrikshasana. Also, after practicing Vrikshasana, do only yogasanas that are done while standing.
