* According to Vastu rules, it is said that on bringing a new broom into the house, the old broom should not be thrown away immediately. Because doing this is considered very auspicious. In Hinduism, it is believed that the old broom should always be thrown out of the house only on Holika Dahan and Amavasya and Saturday.
* According to Vastu rules, it is said that one should never make the mistake of throwing away the old broom on Thursdays and Fridays because these are the days when Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped. It is believed that throwing these two brooms angers Goddess Lakshmi, due to which poverty starts coming into your house.
