Difference between vaginal cancer and cervical cancer

People are often confused about vaginal cancer and cervical cancer. But both are different. Vaginal cancer is also called vaginal cancer. The vagina is the outer part. Whereas cervical cancer occurs in the cervix part. This can be understood in the picture. If vaginal cancer is detected on time, then there is not much difficulty in recovery, but if it is at an advanced level, then many patients have to face a lot of problems.

Causes of vaginal cancer

Vaginal cancer is a rare disease. Usually, it starts from the outer cells of the vagina. However, the exact cause cannot be told even today. However, the biggest reason is Human Papilloma Virus Infection (HPV). This cancer also becomes common in women above 60 years of age. The third reason is if there has been cancer-related to the uterus in the past, then it is also possible that vaginal cancer may occur again. Apart from this, smoking can also be the cause of cancer.

Can vaginal cancer be cured? Survival Rate
The survival rate of vaginal cancer is based on its stage. According to the American Cancer Society, if it is at an early stage then it is 75%, if the disease has already started i.e. at the second stage it is 51% and at the third stage or advanced stage the chances of survival are up to 18%.

Vaginal cancer recovery
Recovery from vaginal cancer is based on its treatment. Talking about its treatment options include surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. Early-stage cancer can be treated only with surgery, whereas in the advanced stage, a lot of difficulties have to be faced.
